NEW WORKOUTS

Bob has found 2 new workouts!

The first is pull-ups with added "weight":

The second is going lumbar jack man with his axe on firewood (we have a fireplace!!):

Stella's Blessing

A few weeks ago, Stella was blessed by Bob. It was perfect! We had lots of family and friends there and the blessing Bob gave her was so sweet.

LIFE AND TIMES OF STELLA

first soccer game!

Smiling at grandma!

Her classic huge smile!

Learning to dance!

Manicure

Stella got her first manicure from my dad aka "Opa" - she loved it!

Brent

Since August Brent and I have been living together. Bob got a job in cleveland, and I still have until April to finish up nursing school here . . . so during the week Brent and I are roommates :) It has been so fun to hang out with him, and he helps out a lot with Stella. If i ever pull into the driveway when he is home - he hears my car and runs out and helps me carry in things, he offers to hold Stella, he kills cave crickets and spiders, he traps wild squirrels that have somehow gotten into the house, he makes me laugh, he introduced me to 'how i met your mother' . . .the list could go on and on!

1 MORE MONTH

We are getting closer to having our baby and couldn't be more excited! We just got a carseat, and every time I look at it, I can hardly believe that it is ours. We wonder what she will be like - will she have my super fair skin or bob's darker skin? Will she have a cleft chin like me? Will she have bob's boottee??

Lately, I have been looking at http://www.cincinnatibirthphotography.com/ - it is amazing! I love how the pictures take you right through the birth - it is helping us feel a little more relaxed about the delivery aspect :)

Also Bob is so sweet. He goes on walks with me, rubs my back and feet when they are sore, brings me water to drink, and so much more. . . he is going to be such a good dad.

ULTIMATE FLY SWATTER

Bob got a new tool (or toy?) - it is an electric fly swatter.  When it hits the fly, instead of just swatting them like a typical swatter, it sends a 1600 volt shock as well. He has been on a mission to kill any flies that come near or in our house.

He is having way to much fun.

UTAH VISIT

A few weeks ago I got to go out and visit Taylor, Megan, and Brent.
It was a lot of fun to be with them - it is crazy how easily you can start cracking up (more like laughing hysterically) when your with your siblings :)

make shift volleyball (with a basketball . . .)

Spartan Race

Bob ran in the Spartan race last weekend - it was so fun to watch!!

Craziest run ever - Hands down. It consists of 4 miles of obstacles such as jumping over fire into a mud pit, carrying and throwing huge logs, climbing ropes, crawling under barb wire, etc.
Here are a few pictures from the day:

Inner Hippie

We went up to visit Josh and Bam in Ann Arbor for match day last week - it was so fun to see them and Bob's parents were there too!
This is the only picture we took of us. We were on a walk to see Josh open his letter - their girls are so cute!!

While we were in Ann Arbor we went to a special place for breakfast. The breakfast happens every Friday out of someone's HOUSE (in suburbia!)- supposedly they have about 200 people come each week. I had seen a magazine article about the place (Selma Cafe) a few weeks ago and was excited to check it out.

When we walked up to the driveway this is the first thing we saw:
(oh yeah! inner hippie is coming out!)

the box above was a"bread box". When we opened up the box it had a note in it that explained that if you sign up, every morning fresh bread will be waiting for you in the box . . .what?! so cool!
The food for the breakfast all comes from local farmers. They have a different chef come in each week that creates the menu - this week it was a chef from a restaurant there called Zingerman's Roadhouse.
Here is hot Bob with the menu of the day:
All of the workers are volunteers and the donations they get from the breakfast go back to the local farms. We got a seat right in the kitchen where all the action was happening.

we both ordered the specials :
bob got squash/potato pancakes and I got johnny cakes
When you leave it is the tradition to put your "name tag" on the wall.

Running Adventures

Adventure 1:
We ran in the Shamrock Shuffle on St.Patty's day - first you run a 5K, then they gave you a full course breakfast! you can bet Bob signed us up for this race after he heard about the breakfast :)

Adventure 2:
I FELL while running near our house next to a busy road...so embarrassing....

Adventure 3:
Bob got me new shoes for my birthday- I love them!

REMINISCING

About a month after we got married, we got into a pretty good dinner routine. Bob would make dinner once or twice a week and I would make the rest . . .except for our ritual cafe rio dinners on friday nights :)
I would try to come up with all these new and healthy meals to keep things fun. Some of them were pretty good and have stuck around. . .  but there were a few that seriously may have stopped a man in his tracks. Tonight as I was making dinner, I randomly remembered a night when I had made one of those stop a man in his tracks dinners.
I had set the table and made it look all cute, then dished out the pasta I had made from a new recipe. We took the first bite and it tasted like eating a pinecone. A freshly picked PINECONE! In case you have never tried one of those before. .. it isn't a good taste. I could not eat even one more bite of the pasta because seriously, it was terrible.  But Bob on the other hand acted like it wasn't that bad and ate the ENTIRE dish. I could hardly believe it.
Later I found out he really didn't like it but was just trying to be a good husband so I wouldn't feel bad. HA HA it stills makes me laugh out loud thinking about it. Bob is amazing and so sweet to me!

Here is a picture from when we were having dinner in our "servants house" aka our first apartment

Super Bowl

For the last few weeks Bob has been talking/subtly reminding me about the Super Bowl. He keeps saying 'You know the Super Bowl is on Feb 5, right?' or 'I can't wait to watch the Super Bowl!' or 'BABE, we have to watch the Super Bowl!' I think this all came on because our first year we were married we had some friends over for dinner the night of the Super Bowl . . .and they weren't Super Bowl watchers - so we just ended up talking/playing a game which was fun - but Bob was in agony thinking about the "biggest game in the world" being on and NOT watching it.

So lesson learned: make sure your friends like and know about the Super Bowl before you invite them over on the first Sunday in February.

I think another reason Bob (and me!) love it so much is because of the food . . .

- Bob is going to make a cream cheese sausage dip (btw if you have not had this before it is amazing!!) :

-pulled pork sandwiches - cookies - veggies - drinks - chocolate covered popcorn..... YUM!

P.S. after I finished this, Bob saw that I had been spelling Super Bowl wrong the entire time . . .who would have known it is a proper noun!
