Spring

It got so nice out again here and we are loving it. We have all been craving some nature in our lives so went to a lake close by that has hiking trails. . .it was so fun! I'm in love with Stella's curiosity and Max's determination and it was so fun to be together with our little family.

The rocks were sand stone . . .so we got to leave our mark :)

Max wanted to get his whole self in the lake so bad. He was splashing and throwing the tiny pebbles like crazy.

While we were hiking around Stella kept finding tiny treasures.

Parry and Connie came to visit and we all loved it!

Holding on tight!!

A package came the other day and it's a good thing we kept the box. Stella calls it her new bed :)

Dress ups and pop-sickles

It's safe to say Max was a fan too

Our friends had a St. Patrick's day gold hunt on Saturday. It was SO FUN! Definitely going to be a new tradition. Basically you tell the kids that "last night a leperchaun came to our house and they lost all their gold! We need to collect it for them and return it to them!" Then they played irish music and the kids went and searched for the gold (which were gold spray painted rocks). Stella loved it (Max was sleeping during all the festivities!). After they collect all the gold, each kid dumps it all back in a bucket and then gets a goodie bag full of treats. Here is Stella running to get the gold!

Gold Digging

Stella rode her scooter to the park - she's getting pretty good!

and Max got pushed on his pretend bicycle!

THE LITTLE THINGS

I want to start updating this little blog again :) I was thinking the other day how easy it is to forget the little things, and I don't want to forget these things!! We have been in Texas for about a month and a half now and are feeling pretty adjusted. The warmer weather definitely has some big perks.

On Saturday we went and explored a park in downtown Dallas called Klyde Wayne park - it was happening! There were tons of food trucks and people out enjoying the park. One cool thing that I loved was that they had a sort of open "library" type thing. .. basically there were stands all around the park, and you could check out books, huge Jenga games, checkers, ping pong + paddles, balls, etc. And it was free! What a cool idea.

We all loved it.

STELLA: 2 yrs 5 months. Her favorite things to say - "Daddy! Where are you going so Fast??" "I'm a puppy", "I'm Taicey" (lol she says this all the time!! and we only saw Taicey a little bit in Cincinnati . .I think getting to decorate her own cupcake at Taicey's party really resonated with her), "I'm Gama Tonie (grandma connie)", "Maxie boy", "HA! . . . Did you hear that dinosaur?", "Oh no! Swiper got me!", "We have to get the crocodiles", "Tookie?" (asking for a cookie), "Go Mama Go!! and Faster!" (when I am pushing her in the stroller she cheers for me ha ha), "This is amazing!", "Babe! This dewishish." (delicious), "Where's Lillie?", "I going to Cincinnati to feed the horses". "Chase me!"
Her favorite songs to sing are: the itsy bitsy spider (says Fider), ABC's (at the top of her lungs), I'm a child of god, and Twinkle Twinkle.
Her favorite naughty thing to do is to climb the pantry walls to find chocolate.
At nighttime we sing her songs to help her go to bed. She always ask for the same one as her last song "Heavenly Father" (A Child's Prayer).
She loves to play with baby dolls and wrap them up in tons of blankets.
She climbs into Max's crib in the morning (before we know she is awake) and wakes him up. He loves it of course, and we wake up to them giggling.
She loves helping me - sweeping, washing dishes, and moping, stirring food, and getting me water (with ice!) are her favorite jobs.

MAX: 13 months. His favorite words are "Ma ma mam mamamama" which he says a ton!!, and Da Da, Peek a boo, and Ah!.
His all time favorite toy is a ball. Give that boy a ball and he is happy! For his birthday we got him a basketball hoop and he is in love.
His favorite breakfast is berries and toast. He is a great eater and his face is usually covered in food after dinner . .. i'm still not sure how he manages to get food all the way on the back of his neck and head but oh is it there :)
He is getting much more stable and a lot faster at walking. He loves taking baths and splashing"
A few days ago when Bob got home from work, he threw the ball he had on the ground and shot his arms up as high as he could go with the biggest smile.
When you meet eyes with him he busts out this big smile and just stares at you -- he's a heart throbber.
